In 2002 an eight year old Holly made a valiant attempt at a Mother’s Day present. In 2018 a twenty-four year old Holly re-made the exact same piece including the miscounts and the poorly spaced lettering.
It’s a lot of fun as an adult to remake childhood art works and with greater skill…or at least greater fine motor skills, recapture the playfulness of having no obligations. Just a sense of adventure, some kiwi ingenuity, and a can-do attitude.
